THE EXOTVIO GOLD FINISH

Eight Hours in Gold

Our Heavy 14K Gold Bonded finish begins with real solid 14K gold. The gold is melted and formed into the source material used in our plating bath. Each handmade .999 silver piece is suspended in the solution while a controlled electrical current gradually transfers gold onto the surface.

Our pieces remain in this process for approximately eight hours. The finished piece is a gold finish over .999 silver—it is not solid gold—and care, wear, chemistry and friction all affect how any gold finish changes over time.

No hidden barrier coats No copper, nickel, or lacquer under the gold finish.

Exotvio applies the gold finish over the silver foundation without copper, nickel, or lacquer barrier coats. That removes common underlying barrier-layer sources associated with green discoloration while keeping the material story straightforward and transparent.

As with any jewelry finish, individual skin chemistry, sweat, chemicals, friction, and care can still affect appearance over time.

    Hand-filing refines alignment, profile and the signature Cuban geometry.

No. Gold-finished Miami Cubans are handmade from .999 silver and finished with Exotvio’s Heavy 14K Gold Bonded process using real 14K gold.

How long does production take?

Each piece is made to order. Current production timing is approximately two weeks before shipping, followed by approximately one week for delivery.

Are the listed gram weights exact?

Weights are approximate. Handmade production can create small variations in final weight.
